Supersand Bond polymeric sand for pavement joints
Alliance Designer Product manufactures Supersand Bond for use with paving stone eg. -Interlocking stone or natural cobble stone. SuperSand Bond is a unique mixture of polymer binders and a calibrated sand, available in brown or grey. The installation of this polymeric sand is almost identical to using regular paver joint sand, except for the application of water. Once SuperSand Bond sets, it becomes very firm and locks between the paver joints. This firm bond maintains pavers securely in place, being equally effective on both horizontal and sloped surfaces. It also withstands erosion due to climatic conditions, such as wind, rain and freezing temperatures. SuperSand Bond is recommended for a variety of uses, including pool sides, patios, foot paths, driveways, parking spaces, pavements, etc.
Ideal stabilizing sand to fill paver jointSuperSand Bond has the ability to expand and condense. This elasticity ensures that the paver joints avoid cracking and are properly filled at all times. Thus, it will also help prevent insect penetration and weed sprouting.
SuperSand Bond should only be used when pavers or tiles are installed on a drainage bed system (stone dust, crushed stone, sand). It is not recommended when pavers or tiles are set above a concrete base. SuperSand Bond is resilient and won't crack under paving stone or slab movement. It controls erosion, are flexible, self healing, and reduce maintenance. Stabilizing Sand is great at inhibiting week growth and works in all climates.

Polymeric Sand easy installation
A true Polymeric Sand that will commence bonding upon spraying a fine mist of water. Will work at above freezing temperatures (0oC or 32oF). It can be installed if rain is forecasted for 3 hours after installation. Polymeric sand will not stain pavers or stone. Unique particle size and colours (Sand Beige and Grey). NOTE: Please ensure that the sand is properly swept into the joints prior to misting for activation. Do not apply to damp or wet stone.

Installation is almost identical to using regular stabilizing sand. The only difference is the application of moisture to ensure saturation of the joint sand. Once SuperSandBond dries the product stabilizes to a firm yet flexible consistency and "locks" permanently into the joints.
The surface must be completely dry before applying Polymeric Sand. When applying the sand, be sure that all the joints are filled and that there is no sand remaining on the surface. (Any sand is not swept entirely off of the paver surface prior to watering, it will harden on the paver, but can easily be removed.).
How patio are built
Installing outdoor flooring can change your already pleasant yard into a beautiful, elegant space, when you choose to build a patio made of concrete or natural stone pavers.
The steps of installing a patio include planning, excavation, forming the foundation, installing stone bed, laying the stones and filling the joints, and opting for a curb or retaining wall, if needed.
To start, evaluate the site for any underground wires or conduit, and contact proper authorities. Excavate the soil to obtain a minimum incline of 2% or 1/4 inch per foot. The contour should go beyond the paving area by at least 12 inches, and should be one to 1.5 times the depth of the foundation. Level the bottom of the excavation with a rake, and compact it if the soil is sandy. If clay, a geotextile membrane between the soil and foundation will prevent contamination by clay, and ensure stability.
Spread the 0 - 3/4" stone, lightly water it, and compact several times. Now, you can start to see what the final result will look like. Then spread 5/8" to 1" of concrete sand or screening. Remember, a 1" bed will reduce to 5/8" once compacting is completed after the paving stones are installed. The sand should be leveled, using two 1" diameter pipes and a wood plank. Any unevenness left may cause an irregular height in the surface.
Lay your paving stones with spacing determined by the manufacturer. For nicer color and textural results, mix stones from cubes, and work across each cube. Check and adjust alignment every five rows.
If you need to cut laid out stones, use a chalk line to mark them, and learn beforehand, how to use specialized equipment such as a guillotine or concrete saw. Stabilize the stones by running a vibrating plate over them two or three times in both directions. The pavers will settle into the sand or screenings about 3/8".
Cover the paving stones with stabilizing sand, let dry if necessary, then work it into joints with a push broom. If some areas don't look filled a few days later, repeat the sand covering process. Save several paving stones for later replacement.
What's to remember about using stabilizing sand
Follow installation instructions to the letter.
Never spread the sand on a wet or humid surface.
Do not use stabilizing sand on the first row of pavers around a swimming pool. Use other adhesive materials.
SuperSand Bond stabilizing sand is insect-resistant, weed-resistant, reduces erosion and provides better support.
Avoid excessively steep slopes.
